Caracas, 30/06/2009 (Press CNCS) The National Council of social communicators (TeleSURtv) expressed support for the team of journalists from the channel, assaulted on Monday 29 June by the dictatorial government in place in Honduras.
At a public meeting that culminated in the massive convoy organized by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and other social organizations to support teleSUR, Zaida Rauseo, member of the Committee for the Promotion of CNCyCS, read and delivered to the president Latin American multinational television, Andres Izarra, a paper application support and respect for physical integrity and human rights and journalists are now in Honduras, provided their work in adverse conditions.
The statement also issued condemnations and rejections to the positions taken by the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) and the National College of Journalists (CNP) and obscure the bloody repression that is under the Honduran people under the de facto government to distort reality to deny the coup repudiated by all democratic governments in the southern hemisphere.
